The HAIX COMBAT HIGH LIABILITY boot is also a waterproof 8-inch combat boot but its uppers are a combination of leather and textile, and though also optimised for all-year / all-seasons use it is not intended for extreme cold climate wear. This is, in effect, the standard temperate theatre boot category which most troops not deployed to arid or jungle theatres will be issued with, and it also has a Gore-Tex performance 4-layer laminate membrane and incorporates Haix's own climate system and MicroSoftLight mid-sole system with a Davos antistatic slip-resistant outsole treadThere is a Plastic/Non-woven Insole which aids in moisture absorption, is dimensionally stable, torsion-proof, and helps to avoid punctual pressure (e.g. from stones underfoot). The Footbed is anatomically formed, exchangeable, washable, aids in moisture absorption, and dries quickly. The outsole is a Rubber/PU sole with a street/terrain tread which is wear resistant and offers non-slip traction. It also offers optimal step and bend behaviour due to a sporty toe and heel rounding. This rubber shell sole features the HAIX MSL (Micro-Softlight) system that is the result of an additional production process to achieve extremely low weight, excellent cold/heat insulation and non-marking characteristics. The manually applied extra high rubber sidewall gives this sole optimal side stability. Everything here is compliant with EN ISO 20347:2007.
