British Army 1959 pattern Paratrooper Denison Smock

Airborne Forces have long been associated with not only the maroon beret but also the famous Denison Smock. this smock was typically relied on by British paratroopers for being wind resistant and warm yet lightweight this particular smock has a higher hem line making it less baggy making it easier to carry parachutes over the smock. The Denison also has a full length zip and machine knitted wool cuffs, The insignia or “wings” have been removed for unknown reasons.
